Public washrooms around the world vary widely. While paying to use the bathroom seems strange to most Canadians, it turns out that it’s pretty much the norm in many parts of the world.

From automated self-cleaning stand alone toilets, to fee-per use with an attendant on duty, and even free-to-use but pay for the toilet paper model, here’s what you need to know before you go while traveling.
